This zone is a paradise for underwater photography and includes many different dive sites. Marine life is abundant and divers may find tunas, stingrays, large groupers, moray and barracuda, parrotfish and trumpet fish among others. 

In 2022 the National reserve hosted the European Championship of Underwater photography.

The average depth is 15-20 m.

• 8:45 am check-in, 9 am departure for  2 dives in The National Marine Reserve with a nice surface interval between dives. 
• Gear rental and extras are available directly at the shop. 
• Tanks, Weights are included.  
• Trip returns around 1 pm 
• Trip departs from our shop in Funchal at 9 AM
